A Map of Foye
A sandy cove named for the pilchard shoals that turned its water silver.
When the pilchards came in, the water in this cove shone so brightly that the lookout on the cliff could see the shoal a mile off and cry the boats out. The fish have long gone, but the name stayed.
Today it is the town's favourite beach, with a bathing hut that has been painted a different colour every summer anyone can remember.
Sand in everything for a week afterwards, and worth it. The small things that come back in the bag are in here.
